Before submitting your pre-made book covers to Fiction Book Cover, please carefully review the following guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful process.
1. Minimum Price
While you have the freedom to set your own prices, the minimum price allowed for any cover is $69. Please ensure your pricing aligns with this requirement.
2: Sizing
Your book cover designs should fit with Amazon’s recommendations. Although it does change from time to time, right now (as of 2025), the Amazon standard size is 1600 pixels by 2560 for e-books. For paperbacks, the customer will use the KDP Cover Calculator to provide you with exact dimensions.
3. Customer Communication
Upon the sale of a cover, you will receive an automated email containing the customer’s email address, along with any additional notes (such as the author’s name or book title). It is your responsibility to contact the customer promptly and deliver the completed cover files within 72 hours of the purchase.
Please note that in rare cases, the automated email may end up in your Spam or Promotions folder. It is crucial to monitor your sales closely to ensure timely communication and delivery.
4. Vendor Terms Compliance
Ensure that you have thoroughly read, understood, and agree to the Vendor Terms. Failure to comply with these terms will result in the termination of your ability to sell your book covers through our platform.
5. Review Process
All submitted covers undergo a review process to ensure they meet our quality standards. While reviews can be completed within 24 hours, please allow up to 10 days for the review.
You will not receive a notification if your cover is approved or rejected. Approved covers will appear in the store and be marked as approved in your vendor dashboard. If a cover is not approved, it will no longer have a pending status.
Reasons for Rejection:
- Breach of Vendor Terms: Using low-quality stock images, images with watermarks, or stock elements with minor alterations (e.g., simple background changes or basic typography) will result in rejection. Other violations of Vendor Terms may also lead to your cover being removed from our catalog.
- Incomplete Submission: Missing information, such as price, preview image, or cover name, can cause your submission to be rejected. Ensure all fields are filled out according to the step-by-step submission tutorial.
- Low Quality: Covers that do not meet professional standards—due to poor cutouts, improper blending, or other beginner-level mistakes—will be rejected. Our customers expect high-quality, professional designs. If your current skill level does not meet our standards, we encourage you to continue improving before submitting your work.
6. Additional Fees
If you offer additional services such as paperback design or banners, you may charge extra fees. These fees must be clearly stated in the cover description. Any additional fees will be handled directly between you and the customer, using PayPal or another mutually agreed-upon method. AI Story Guru only manages the payments for the prices listed on the cover. Any other charges are your responsibility to arrange with the customer.
7. Exclusivity
All covers sold on our platform must be offered on a non-exclusive basis. Initially, we explored offering exclusivity, but managing exclusive sales across multiple platforms proved too complex. Therefore, any cover you list with us is considered non-exclusive and may be sold elsewhere.
